This shot is from the NE and is before the door and gable end fascia were installed. I plan on adding trim, paint, a step or two, and landscaping this summer. More photos to come once I get the new camera. The next purchase is a Canon Digital Rebel :) Check back in the fall for a complete build description and more photos.

Spring has arrived and I am back to work on the observatory. As you can see here, it has gotten all new trim and a new coat of paint. Still have a few hours of work to finish up the overhangs and the entry door but first good weather should take care of that. The next job is the landscaping but I am in no rush to get into that.
Here is a shot of the rig. I just added the 80mm guide scope and a Meade LPI for autoguiding. I haven't had a clear night in a couple of weeks so it hasn't been tested much yet. What I was able to do looks promising so I can hardly wait to run it through a whole night.  You can also see the roof control pendant hanging on the wall behind the scope. I used a Warren winch mounted above the control room to retract the roof.
Here is a couple of shots of  the control room. I still have to trim it out and carpet it but other than that I think it is about done. The laptop was just added for autoguiding.
